The Pre-Game Huddle

Bring your community together for a “Pre-Game Huddle” to energize and educate your team on the Whole Life Challenge. These are the elements we suggest you include:

1. Setting your specific community’s intention/mission/purpose.

This is the perfect time to get them all on board with YOUR mission. Use the following questions to help guide you, and then communicate this with your community at the beginning of the meeting.

  • Why are you (specifically) participating?
  • What is YOUR vision for your members?
  • Why should they do it?
  • What do you see for them that they might not yet see for themselves?
  • How will they benefit?
  • How will the community benefit?

2. “How to Play” Break Down

  1. Walk through the “Quick Start Player Guide” together. It’s a short document that will get every-one up to speed on game rules.

    1. 7 Daily Habits

    2. How points work for each habit and requirements to earn them

    3. How nutrition points work differently

    4. Different bonuses you can earn

    5. Setting up your personalized game

        • workout/fitness - how to do this for your particular workout

  2. Go to play.wholelifechallenge.com (project it on the wall or on a big-screen tv), and make sure everyone knows how to access the game.

    1. For anyone not registered, they will need to register (via the Group link you supplied).

    2. Review how to save the site on the home page of their smartphone.

      1. Android - self explanatory

      2. iPhone - using Safari, save it to the home screen

    3. Walk through the site (even though it’s not fully functional until Day 1 of the Challenge).

      1. Communication Feed - place for group communication/interaction

        1. Group leader’s communication to group will be here.

        2. All player reflections are posted here (remind that they are not private unless they set them to be)

        3. Encourage communication, commenting, supporting, etc.
